Dalmatia
Although we are mostly known for our stunning beaches, our rural areas in Zadar, Šibenik, Split and Dubrovnik regions are still to be explored! Three national and six nature parks, numerous bike trails, and beautiful rivers and canyons are becoming more and more popular not only in the summer, but all year around. We offer rafting, kayaking, canoeing, mountaineering, and hiking for a break from stress and recharging your batteries!
In the villages, we will welcome you in renovated stone houses and provide a real atmosphere of authenticity and tradition. Here you will find both Mediterranean extremes: sun-exposed barrens where only the most durable medicinal plants can grow, food for only the toughest sheep, goats, donkeys, game and bees, and on the other hand, the most fertile agricultural areas. So our cheeses, pršut, lamb, and olive oils are a must!
Some of our wine varieties are either related to or served to develop world-famous wines, such as the Californian zinfandel. In numerous wineries and tasting rooms, you can taste wines from our native varieties such as tribidrag or crljenak kaštelanski, grk, plavac mali, pošip, and vugava. You can buy and take the products of our hard-working hands home, and when you run out – you can get more in many stores in Croatia and around the world.
Whether you wish to enrich your summer holidays, take a break from a busy beach, or simply explore something new – our hospitality and rich offer in rural areas (our traditional cuisine is much more than seafood) will make your stay with us memorable.
