Central Croatia
Explore the Croatian Uplands – a wine region that will delight you all year round! Enjoy the authentic experience of a Croatian village and wonderful green sceneries not far from Zagreb.
While not the most famous, we can say that we are the largest and most diverse tourist region with many beautiful and undiscovered tourist destinations in western and northern Croatia. The most important among them are: Hrvatsko Zagorje, Međimurje, Prigorje, Podravina, Moslavina, Turopolje, Posavina, and Pokuplje – and each is special in its own way!
Our villages will enchant you at any time of the year, whether on a day trip, partaking in local festivities, or spending a few days longer. Maybe you’re just on your way to the coast and want to experience something different? Numerous wineries, tourist farms, holiday homes, of which the traditional ones are truly breathtaking, along with swimming pools, thermal baths and other additional amenities make us a year-round destination for actively recharging your batteries or just relaxing.
The cultural heritage of the region includes numerous castles, museums, ethnographic collections and events. This is the homeland of Krapina's prehistoric man – the Neanderthal, so be sure to visit the museum, but also the Kumrovec Ethno Village to learn about our way of life a hundred or more years ago. As you may suspect, our lives today are just a little bit different, and you are sure to love the diversity of our year-round offer!
