Slavonia

Slavonia, Baranja and Western Srijem, or more simply – Slavonia Explore the east of rural Croatia, the home of oldest European rocks and settlements – we love spicy food, and we quench our thirst with the finest wines that are beloved by royalty.

In our region, the villages are long and run in a straight line because our rural homesteads have gardens, orchards, fields, or pastures behind them – here we rear domestic animals, grow fruits, vegetables and cereals. They don't call us the breadbasket of Croatia for no reason – we’ve been putting food on the table of Croatia throughout history. You can spend the night in ethno-rooms or rural holiday homes, and in the middle of flat Slavonia, you can even hike in our mountains!

As you will see – here time passes slowly, which is a major contributing factor to reducing stress. The famous Orient Express also stopped here – so why not you too?
